Great Melds

  1. The most hyped up guild map 5* creature melds are Sac Anathema and I9 Paragon. What other ones would you recommend? I9 Sea Wizard, FB Ash Beast, I9 Ridge Hunter, etc..

    1. Sacrifice is usually suggested for Anathema, Graboid and Twins. All three have stoneskin.

Most late game decks have one or two retreat Queen Temptresses. You dont want your sacrifice creature to get retreated, right after sacrificing another creature.

Paragon and Sea Wizard has lockdown skills. Immunity is desired for such creatures, because you want them to be locking the enemy creatures every round instead of getting themselves locked down.

I9 phantom liege is good. He is not a heavy hitter though without a lifesap rune.

I am planning to make an I9 ridge hunter. Dodge+immunity is good survival chance.

    2. Thanks for your comment. I will make a post on the popular melding combinations.

    3. I9 Phantom Liege with lifesap sounds awesome. Magic resistant, heals to full every turn, builds up attack and seals when it show up. If only there was a way to get the lifesap rune without spending tons of gems. (sigh)

  2. I like your Melding Paradigms posts, they have been very enlightening. You should do a Grimories post next, I know how to do Violence 5 and Vitality 5 but the rest seem impossible

    1. Thank you for the kind words! Protean grimoire too has a few different ways to win. I will put a post on that this weekend.

Sorcery grimoire is very difficult. Most people have a few sorcery 5* runes gained from the glory altar, so the drive to make specialized melds for sorcery grimoire is low. Sorcery 4 used to be easy until a recent update. Now sorcery 3 is the only one manageable without special melds.

Melding paradigms has 3 more parts coming. I had made the notes, but didnt get time to make the posts yet because of work.

    2. Protean Grimoire is here. I will rewrite it better some day. If something is not clear, feel free to ask. cheers

  4. Hi, what is the most efficient way to craft equipment? I noticed that I can immediately craft a lvl 5 weapon from the start, but with poor stats. Is it better to make orange tier lvl 1 equipment first, and then fuse them into lvl 2 orange tier equipment and so on?
    Thanks

    1. You should target level 5 orange equipment. It requires a level 3 orange equipment and all orange materials. A level 3 orange item takes three orange materials to make.
There is a slightly more efficient way to do it. I will create a post on it soon.

  5. Hey just wondering what I should do with all my duplicate cards? I've got a lot of them, mainly 2 stars, what's the most efficient use with them?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Use 2 star and 1 star creatures to level up your higher starred cards(like essences). You can alternatively sell them (menu->sell cards) but I recommend using them for leveling up.

    1. I continue blogging, just not getting enough time these days.
I have a half written post about equipment and crafting. It is a big topic with many aspects. I will try to get it out sometime this week.

  9. Hello, love your blog, my question today: got my 5x ET warlocks recently, but still losing vs the 1st guild map devagati, so how exactly does the early game go? I also use a mythril drone for anti-titania/anti-magic and 2x frost ragers for ares and fafnir. But the early game setup is a pain, is it better to wait and drop 5 cards at once, or cycle cards by dropping one or two to get more draws? hanuman makes me discard aswell. Am I right in thinking luck plays a huge role in enemy placement? DO you constantly pull 1mil everytime, or just sometimes? BTW am using lvl 5 berserker, with lvl 7 full alert, and lvl 5 spiky bits. In what order do you think I should place my cards?

    1. I look at the enemy cards and form my deck accordingly. If there are battleblow or sweepingblow cards in the enemy decks, I usually take a few frost-armor oracles (or Ursa major with mass-heal).

If you are facing Poison Ivy or Gladiator, you cannot let them activate their skills - so you will need to put a 'curse' card with rune at the end.

As for the disposals - if there is someone in your guild with a Kumiho, they can play a one card deck with her (berserker+kumiho) and let Kumiho demonize all the disposers to the grave. Then the rest of you can clear the map more easily. Otherwise carry a few Graboids and hope that the disposers get them and not your warlocks or oracles.

    2. Frost Ragers are not as good in guild map as they are in PvP. What Berserker deck needs is mass-heal, which Frost Ragers doesnt provide. You need to get a few Frost-Armor oracles (or mass-heal swordmasters or mass-heal ursa majors) to replace them. Having 9 healers and Drone should get you through everything except poison ivy and gladiator.

  10. Hello, quick question, does stabthrough damage to the enemy hero in guild maps count towards total damage dealt? In other words, is it worth equipping my stabthrough rune on my ursa major when doing guild maps?
    Thanks.

    Replies
    1. Damage done to hero does not count. Also the guild map hero heals fully every round, so the final damage dealt to hero is anyways zero.

  11. Pls how can i get 3 star hero with 3 talents? Thank you

    ReplyDelete
  12. 3 star heroes will have two talents only. Only the AI 3 star heroes (like in guild map) have three talents- we cannot get those.

  13. I have been playing for a few weeks (ex-Summoners War player), what got me hooked was the Norse Cards (Odin, Loki, Thor, etc.). I still feel that I am not doing as good as I should be, and your walkthrough's are literally opening my eyes on how I should be playing this game! Thank You so much! Would you be inclined to do a Fenrir review?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thanks for the nice words Tim!

IGG uses the names of best mythological characters to make bad cards(Odin, Thor, Oinari), and gives lame names to the better ones(like 'Great Mystic').

Fenrir is a good card as is, but you usually get it somewhat later in the game and at that point, melding it is not really worthwhile. Neanders have some powerful 4 star cards like Panther Chief, Graboid and Twins, which are all much easier to get. Fenrir is not as good as them (another case of IGG's lame naming!).

I will spend some time to write posts about various mythological strains in the DH world someday. Thank you for such a great idea!

  14. Hello, I was wondering if you still update this guide? I would hoping to get an idea of what exactly to put in my undying/cripple Wight deck to fully utilize undying. May I ask what cards you use in yours? I imagine retreat temptresses are the core of it but what else?
    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Except for the 4-5 Morti cards to trigger undying, Wight doesnt require much specialized deck. Recycle-Harbinger is good for Gauntlet with wight because he almost gets 95% rebirth with undying. Demonic templar, Hellwolf and Dullahan are also good cards.

Discord also usually goes well with Wight's skill. I once faced a Wight deck with 10 DarkWitches melded with Discord - tough to beat without a Titania!

  15. Wow i relly like your blog, very helpful :) can you make some topic about best 4* meld and 5* meld for f2p, im a newbie, thanks you very much

    1. Thanks for your kind words Ky T! :)
Mostly all my posts are about f2p cards that are available early. Do checkout the Frost Rager melds with Predator for your early deck, and the ET Warlocks deck for Guild Maps as soon as you get Berserker Hero.
I will compile a list with my favourite f2p melds one of these days. Cheers!
